Course OutlineThis course offers a good foundation in Digital Media Computing, web site development, sound and video production, animation and digital media. Students will gain the skills required for creating and editing digital media, working in a project team and the new media business environment.
The course also addresses constantly changing technology in the new media industry and encourages creativity in creating and editing materials for the interactive education and training, marketing and advertising, and entertainment industries.
Graduates of this course will use their knowledge & skills gained as a stepping-stone towards further study in Computing, Multimedia, Web & Internet Industries. If you enjoy being creative, and have a commitment to work, our course will give you the foundation for the career of a lifetime.
Course Content
The NC award consists of 12 SQA Units which may include the following –
Video, Audio, Still Image Editing, Web Design and Development, Multimedia for Website Development, Website Design Fundamentals, Animation Fundamentals, Digital Media Elements for Applications, Internet and On-line Communications, Computer Hardware and Systems, Working in a Project Team

Entry Requirements
Five Standard Grades at General level or above including Maths and English or an equivalent grouping of appropriate NQ units. Mature candidates will also be considered.
